Brian Barnett Mortgage Broker B.A. (Econ.) AMP

Brian began his financial career with the Royal Bank in 1979.

Four years later he graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B.A. in Economics while maintaining his career with the Royal Bank.

He continued with the Royal Bank until a transfer in 1990 brought him to Calgary. Shortly thereafter, he joined the CIBC where he worked directly with the Mortgage Manager for Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

In 1993, Brian joined International Investment Properties as Vice President of Client Finance for Canada. Since that time he was instrumental in processing approximately 6500 applications for an aggregate of $500M in mortgages for buyers of Canadian Real Estate. Plus, he processed approximately 300 applications for an aggregate of $20M US for buyers of American Real Estate, utilizing American lenders.

In 2001, Brian obtained his Mortgage Agents License and contracted to InvestorPlus as the Mortgage Manager for Alberta and eventually Canada.

Brian is designated an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) by CIMBL (the Canadian Institute for Mortgage Brokers and Lenders.

Donna has enjoyed a career as an independent Business Consultant in excess of 20 years; 15 of those years spent as a software implementation and training consultant.

Donna started BRICKS & MORTGAGE with Brian in 2002, and became licensed as a Mortgage Agent in 2003.

Although Donna is new to the Mortgage Broker industry, she brings with her many years of experience in customer service, as well as valuable people skills and the business ethics that are embraced and practiced by this industry and it’s members on a daily basis.
